👩‍🚀 👨‍🚀 ABOUT THE CREATOR

Benjamin Richy (Linkedin) is an experienced workshop facilitator and trainer for innovation and service design methods, especially in the healthcare industry.

Previously, he worked 20 years in the software industry as a CRM consultant before discovering that being customer-oriented is not enough! Being more human-centric is crucial to succeed in any business.

He helps organizations to manage multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects by mixing service strategy, brand experience, user experience, and…employee experience.

Benjamin fell in love with a lot of methods: Lean UX, Design Thinking, Design Sprint, and LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. But he does not forget that these methods are only powerful tools, if they really deliver value to organizations, customers and users.

👩‍🏫 FRAMEWORK INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE ?

We need to see clearly what is important from our point of view and what is less important (or rather trivial at the end of the day).

Analysis is done by prioritizing a collection of items, which can be a set of ideas, concepts, solutions or, more commonly, a list of functionalities or product features. You can easily sort between 15 and 30 items.

WHY ARE WE IN ?

Each member of the group has his/her own vision and opinion of what is crucial, important, nice to have or trivial. This analysis forces the group to be more objective in defining its priorities. It's an excellent way of having effective discussions and getting people align. It also enables content to be managed visually.

HOW DO WE RUN IT ?

The natural way to fill the columns is to take each solution, element or feature and place them in the column
that seems most appropriate for the group. Then, when all the solutions (sticky notes) are sorted, look at them
all together and move a few if necessary.

A. MUST HAVE

“Must Have” means critical and non-negotiable (things we cannot live without)

B. SHOULD HAVE

“Shoud Have” means important but not vital (things we consider to be important)

C. COULD HAVE

“Could Have” means comfortable and nice to have (things that are desirable but not really necessary)

D .WON’T HAVE

“Won”t have” means that we “won’t have it" or there is no real impact (things that provide little or no value)
